Every Pori Africa day trip uses a private vehicle and a dedicated Pori Africa guide. There are no shared vans, no group pickups from multiple hotels, and no price negotiations at the gate. The price quoted for a day trip includes the park entry fees, the vehicle, the fuel, the guide, and any activity fees specific to the excursion. Lunch and water are included. Book a Day Trip →Day trips are most productively combined based on geography and timing compatibility. Chemka Hot Springs and Arusha National Park pair well as a full day: Chemka in the morning for the early water clarity and cooler temperatures, then Arusha National Park in the afternoon for the Momella Lakes birding and the forest walking safari that is available until the park closes at 6pm.
Tarangire and the Materuni Waterfall cannot be productively combined in a single day — both require full-day commitment to deliver their best. For clients with two days in Arusha, the most common productive combination is Tarangire on day one and Materuni plus a Chemka afternoon on day two. For clients with three days, adding Arusha National Park as a half-day morning on the third day completes the accessible Arusha-area excursion programme.
The Ngorongoro day trip from Arusha is the most logistically demanding day excursion we offer. For clients who have never been to Ngorongoro, we recommend a two-night rim stay as a component of a longer circuit, which delivers substantially more of what the crater contains. For clients who have already seen the crater and want specific wildlife objectives — the black rhino, the tree-climbing lions, the flamingos — the day trip is worthwhile.
