Pori Africa Adventures · Conservation

The wild Tanzania
we fight to keep.

Every safari we run funds the ecosystems and communities that make it possible. Conservation is not a footnote to our business — it is its purpose.

Our Commitment

We operate because
the wild endures.

Pori Africa Adventures was founded in Arusha in 2022 by Nesto Felix with a single conviction: that a safari industry which does not actively sustain the ecosystems it sells will eventually have nothing left to sell.

A fixed percentage of every booking goes directly to conservation partners, anti-poaching units, and the Maasai and Hadzabe communities whose land surrounds the parks we work in.

We do not call this charity. We call it operating correctly.

How we operate

Three pillars of
responsible travel

01

Wildlife Protection

We contribute directly to the Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute and anti-poaching units operating in the Serengeti ecosystem and Ruaha. Our guides report snare locations on every drive. The black rhino, the wild dog, the cheetah — their survival is not incidental to us.

02

Community Partnership

Every Pori Africa Adventures guide is Tanzanian-born. We source supplies locally, fund school bursaries in Karatu and Loliondo, and pay a community levy on every night spent near Maasai land. Tourism that extracts without returning creates resentment, not stewardship.

03

Low-Impact Operations

We cap group sizes at eight guests. We do not off-road. We do not approach nesting birds or denning predators. The most valuable safari leaves the animal exactly where and how it was found.

Who we work with

Conservation partners
on the ground

Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute

Long-term ecological monitoring across the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire ecosystems. Pori Africa Adventures contributes research fees and field access on every circuit.

Ruaha Carnivore Project

Protecting lions, leopards, and wild dogs in the Greater Ruaha ecosystem through community-based conflict mitigation. We fund livestock guardian programmes annually.

Hadzabe Land Trust

Supporting the legal recognition and protection of ancestral Hadzabe hunting grounds in the Lake Eyasi basin — one of the last intact hunter-gatherer territories in East Africa.

Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust

A community-owned conservation model that pays Maasai landowners a direct fee for wildlife corridors. Our guests’ bookings fund community ranger salaries.

Our impact

Every safari.
Real contribution.

These figures come from our partner organisations’ annual audits. We do not publish numbers that cannot be independently verified. Write to Nesto Felix directly if you would like to see the full reports.
