Africa’s highest peak. Not a technical climb — but one that demands the right guide, route, and pacing philosophy.
Kilimanjaro at 5,895 metres is the highest walkable summit on Earth. What defeats most attempts is altitude sickness — which does not discriminate by fitness level.
Our 91% summit success rate reflects conservative pacing, accurate daily assessment, and a guide who will turn a group around when the signs require it.
Every route passes through five distinct ecosystems from trailhead to summit.

Eight or nine days via Londorossi Gate. The most generous acclimatisation profile. The Shira Plateau on day two is extraordinary — a vast caldera at 3,840m.
The extra day compared to Machame measurably increases summit probability.

Seven days, scenic, compressed acclimatisation. The Barranco Wall on day four is the defining feature — a 300m scramble most clients call the best day.

Only route from the north. Drier, quieter, wider views across Kenya. Best during long rains. Descent via Marangu gives two sides in one itinerary.

Oldest route, only one with hut accommodation. Shortest at six days, most compressed acclimatisation, lowest summit success rate.

Most direct route. Steep, fast altitude gain. Quietest but lowest success rate. For experienced high-altitude hikers with proven acclimatisation history.

Longest route, 9–10 days circumnavigating the northern face. Least trafficked, best acclimatisation quality of any standard itinerary.
Conservative pacing, accurate daily assessment, and Grace Kimaro — over 200 successful ascents. Medical kit includes pulse oximeter, supplemental oxygen, gamow bag, and satellite communication.
Altitude sickness does not discriminate. The determinants are pace, assessment, and the guide’s willingness to act.
The pole pole philosophy is the mechanism by which the body adjusts to altitude.
Every morning: headache, sleep quality, appetite, heart rate, SpO2 via pulse oximeter.
Our guides make descent decisions without consultation. Medical safety is not negotiable.

Kilimanjaro followed by a northern circuit safari is the most complete Tanzania experience. The mountain component comes first — the descent into the Serengeti warmth should be earned.
Standard structure: 7–8 days on mountain, 2 transit days in Arusha, 5–7 days in the parks.
Above KPAP minimum on every ascent. Equipment inspected at gate. Sleeping bags and thermal layers supplied. Direct tipping facilitated to individual crew members.
